Our West Nashville BBB Broncos (9-10 years old) are "National Champions"......AGAIN!!! AAA Broncos Take 2nd Place! Our Broncos anihilated the competion at the 2008 National Championship Tournament during Thanksgiving week in Daytona Beach, Florida. Teams from all over the nation and Canada come to Daytona to measure themselves against the some of the best competion to be found anywhere. Hundreds of teams, sand, the ocean, what could be better? There was no stopping the Broncos who rolled through the top rated 10 Heavy Division like Sherman went through Georgia. The other teams fought hard but fell under the hoofs of the Broncos thundering stampede. According to Broncos Head Coach, Ron Word, the Broncos victories were won with a combination of the hard work of what he considers one of the best staffs in youth football consisting of Assistant Coaches Darryl Jackson, David Wilson, Shawn Puckett and Quinton Puckett, a terrific hard hitting defense and a powerful Double Wing offensive attack. It was an awesome sight to behold as league champions after league champions were trampled under the Broncos stampede to the title.
Along with the BBB Broncos, several of our BB Broncos, Ismael Gonzalez, Darius Owens, Arnold Knight and Michael Robertson stepped up their game and helped the BBB Broncos secure the title. This was not the first time that the Broncos have carried away the National Championship Trophy. Our AAA Broncos (11-12 years old) with Head Coach Kelii Word and his staff grabbed 2nd place in the top division for their age group.Over the past six years the Broncos have won four National Championship titles and one 2nd place finish. This is a testatment to the skill and committment of the Broncos players and staff. Congratulations to all our Broncos. The players and staff of West Nashville Broncos Youth Football wish to thank our parents, fans, sponsors and everyone from Nashville who accompanied them on the trip and made the journey to Florida for the Nationals possible. Without a doubt, the Broncos are one of the top youth football organizations in Tennessee and in the nation. |
